Lana Andrews

Lana has been an assistant coach for many years at Cape Coast and is going into her second year as head coach of our 14 Challenger team. She also coaches at Viera High School as the varsity assistant.

Morgan Austin

Morgan has spent majority of his time growing up in Brevard, graduating from Melbourne High School.  Morgan joined the club summer of 2022 where he began coaching Summer League sessions. He started coaching regular club season for the 2023 year with 15 Athena.

Julianna Bethune

Julianna coaches in our summer league and mini club programs and has more than 5 years of experience for an out of state club. Julianna joined us in the summer of 2022 and will be going into her second season coaching for our regular season club!

Sand Volleyball Director & Board Member / Coach

Daren is dedicated to the Cape Coast Volleyball Club, where he has been coaching since 2005 and received his Impact training in 2007. He has served on the Board of Directors since 2007 and expended the club by taking it to the sand with 2-person Juniors Beach Volleyball. He has been the Beach Director from the inception in the summer of 2006. Daren has coached volleyball at Rockledge High School where he coached JV for 3 years and varsity for 5 years, making it past Districts, and into Regionals. In 2010 his Rockledge Raiders were  Cape Coast Conference Champs.

Kenzie Delacher

Kenzie is from Rockford Michigan and she started playing volleyball freshman year of high school as a setter and went on to be all-conference, all-region, all-state, and all-American along with being a MaxPreps player of the week. She was a multi-sport athlete playing volleyball and lacrosse and picked up two state championships for lacrosse and one runner up finish for volleyball. Currently Kenzie is playing at Florida Tech! Her passion is giving back to the youth and helping young kids develop into confident volleyball players on and off the court!

Connie Denaburg

Connie  has been the director of Cape Coast Volleyball Club for 27 years. Connie began her coaching career at Merritt Island High School in 1995 as the varsity coach and led them to 5 straight Cape Coast Conference titles in the late 1990's and early 2000's. The Merritt Island Lady Mustangs were District champs her last 5 years through 2001. She led them to a state finalist appearance in 2001 and finished in the top 8 in the state for another 3 years. Connie has been coaching club volleyball for approximately 26 years along with her director duties. She has coached 18's, 16's, 13's, and now concentrates her efforts on getting the younger ages (10-12U) involved in local leagues, camps and clinics year round. In 2010, her Cape Coast 12 NIKE team was ranked 2nd in the state and won the USAV Florida Region Bid tournament to qualify for the Junior National tournament held in Reno, NV where the team placed 19th overall in the nation. In 2010 Connie was recognized by the USAV Florida Region on behalf of Cape Coast Volleyball Club as "Club Director of the Year".

Connie graduated from Carson-Newman College in Tennessee with a B.S. in Accounting and Recreation while playing four years of collegiate volleyball and tennis for the Lady Eagles. She later earned an MBA from Nova University and spent ten years working as an accountant at Kennedy Space Center. Connie has received her IMPACT training and is CAP II certified with the USAV Florida Region. She and her husband Dan have 4 children, Karly, Mason, Lexy & Brady.

Samantha Greer

Coach Greer loves being outdoors, enjoys hiking and being immersed in nature's beauty. She teaches elementary special needs  and has three  busy children of her own that make her life crazy and fun. She has been playing volleyball and other team sports for over 20 years and looks forward to sharing her love of volleyball and enthusiasm for the sport with young athletes.

Krisila Hammett was born and raised in South Carolina graduating from Boiling Springs High School in 2018. She played club most of her childhood, training to be an outside hitter as well as a defensive specialist. Following high school, she played for Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA  where they were conference champions in 2018 and attended the NCAA National Tournament. She moved to Melbourne, FL shortly following her graduation in 2022. Krisila joined Cape Coast in the fall of 2022 assisting with our mini club season and beginning her first regular club season at the start of 2023. Prior to this she has coached individual sessions as well as small skill camps.  

Phil Horvath

Coach Phil was born and raised in Connecticut and has been a loyal member of the Cape Coast family since 2009 when his daughter Maddie found her athletic calling. Phil has always been involved with many different competitive sports in high school, college and beyond. Finding a new love and passion for indoor volleyball, coaching high-level competitive volleyball has fueled that competitive fire. As all athletes continue to learn and hone their skills, he also believes as a coach he can never stop learning and introducing new techniques and philosophies. Coach Phil obtained his PCA and IMPACT volleyball certifications in 2011. He has coached at the ELITE and Select levels from ages 11 through 15. 

Nicole Hunt

Nicole was a military brat who graduated from Palm Bay High in 1993. She was Cape Coast Volleyball Player of the Year after leading her team to District and Regional Titles her senior year. She played club for Space Coast Juniors and Nicole then received volleyball scholarships to play at Eastern Florida and Florida Tech as a setter and outside hitter.  Nicole began refereeing volleyball during college, as well as, coaching for Harbor City Juniors.  After moving to Tennessee for 10 years and coaching Club volleyball up there for Maury County Volleyball Academy, she moving back home to Florida in 2014.  In 2015, Nicole took over the Head Varsity coaching position at Bayside High School and is currently the winningest coach in school history.  Nicole was Co-Director and coach of Bayside Juniors Volleyball Club for the past 5 years helping grow the competitiveness of the sport in the south end of Brevard County. Nicole and her husband, Brian have been together since 2000 and they have two daughters, Molly and Macy.

Jess Iacobellis

Jess is from New Jersey but recently moved to Brevard County in June from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The past two years she was the head coach for a high school volleyball team in Maryland and spent one season co-coaching a 12U club team. Along with this, she played varsity volleyball throughout high school and club volleyball during college. She also takes pride in having played basketball for many years, being on the varsity team throughout high school and playing on the varsity team during college at Salisbury University. She is  very excited to see what the future holds on this new journey!

 

Mitch Jacobs

Mitch Jacobs back to Brevard County. Mitch Jacobs retired from Marshall University after 17 years as the Head Coach, leaving  the school as the all-time leader in coaching victories. Coach Jacobs was the director of River Cities Thunder Volleyball Club, the most successful Juniors program in the region and in the state of West Virginia, culminating with the 2018 River Cities 18's team capturing the USA 18 - American National Championship. River Cities Volleyball has placed over 40 players through its 17 years at Universities from NCAA Division 1 to NAIA powerhourses and everywhere in between. 

Coach Jacobs has 26 years experience as a collegiate Head Coach. Prior to Marshall, he  led Fairfield University to 3 straight MAAC Championships, 3 straight NCAA tournament appearances and holds the school's highest career winning percentage (.757). Before Fairfield, Coach Jacobs was the Head Coach at Florida Tech (6 Seasons), where he also holds the all-time wins mark in that programs' history. 

Coach Jacobs has always taken great pride in working within the youth volleyball community at each of his stops. He has worked within the USA Volleyball young programs over his 28 years of collegiate coaching. In the Huntington area, Coach Jacobs and the River Cities program have been the force behind a major increase in USA Volleyball participation over the past 17 years. Junior club volleyball in the Huntington/Charleston area has increased from 35 members in 2002 to over 300 members and 7 clubs between Ashland, KY and Charleston, WV.  

Jayden Jacobs

Jayden has been around volleyball from day 1. Growing up as a college volleyball coaches kid her love and enjoyment for the game grew very fast. She played for River Cities Volleyball Club in West Virginia from 12 years old until 18. In 2013 she was given the opportunity to join the first team out of West Virginia to qualify for USAV Nationals. In 2015 she helped lead her team to 3rd place in the AAU National Championships in Orlando. To Round out her high school playing time she was invited to join the Bring It Promotion tour to Greece where she played against other high school aged teams and coming home with a 1st place medal. After club she went on to play at Concord University a DII school in Athens, WV, for one year before transferring to Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Once back and playing at Marshall she became an assistant coach and head coach in the spring for River Cities Volleyball Club. Once graduating from Marshall, she moved down to Melbourne and joined the Cape Coast family in the summer of 2019.  Jayden has coached girls and boys ranging in age from 10-18. In 2021 Jayden assisted the Florida Region Girl's International Youth team which won 1st in the USAV All Star Championships. She is the assistant varsity coach at Holy Trinity and will be head coaching team Athena.

Tiff Jenson

Tiff Jenson

Coach

Coach Tiff Jenson currently coaches the Cape Coast 10U Explorer Team (“it all starts here!”) as well as within the STARS program, Mini Club, and Summer League.  She enjoys “beginning the volleyball journey” with young/new players.  In years prior, she has also coached the 15U Athena team. In past coaching positions, Coach Tiff has coached at both middle and high schools.  During her own high school volleyball career, she lettered in volleyball and made the Utah All-State Volleyball Team. After playing 4 years of high school/club volleyball in Salt Lake City, she played as an Outside Hitter at Snow College. Later, during graduate study in Texas, Tiff was an 11U-18U volleyball coach & volleyball camp director for several years in Dallas. Tiff also obtained her IMPACT volleyball certification.  She has two master's degrees (social work and liberal arts) and a Ph.D. in Sociology. When not coaching volleyball, Dr. Jenson is a full-time Professor of Criminology for the University of Florida (online) and resides in West Melbourne with her husband Jeff and daughter Stormy.
 

Drew Johnson

Board Member / Parent Representative

Drew, a native of Rockledge, is Cape Coast Volleyball Club's Parent Representative. In this role Drew is the liason between family members and coaches/directors if needed.

 Drew is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who became interested in coaching when his youngest daughter, Elizabeth, started playing at age 9. He was an assistant for the 10 NIKE team and now coaches as needed. He obtained his IMPACT certification in 2011 and joined the Cape Coast Board of Directors in 2010. Drew and his wife Jill both grew up in Rockledge and enjoy exercise of all types as well as competing in Masters and open water swimming events. Their oldest daughter is a college student.

Garrett Keith

Coach

Garrett is a Brevard native growing up in Satellite Beach. He played many sports growing up and went on to play football at FIT and professional arena football. He has coached football, track and field, wrestling, and volleyball since graduating, He coached at Cape Coast in 2019 and is very excited to be returning for the 2024 season! He is married to Kayt Keith who also coaches at Cape Coast and has 3 children.

Kayt Keith grew up in Brevard County and went to Satellite High School where she played volleyball and soccer. She played volleyball for Cape Coast throughout high school as a Libero. Kayt then went on to Stetson University where she rowed crew. Kayt played club volleyball for Stetson. Upon graduating Kayt came back to Cape Coast, but now as a coach. She has coached for us since 2016. She was the JV/ Freshman coach at Viera for 3 years until she had her kids Soren and Remington. Kayt lives in Satellite Beach with her husband Garrett and 3 children. 

PuaLehua Keola

Coach

Pua is born and raised from Hawaii, she played club volleyball from 2007-2014. In High School, she helped the team get back-to-back Division II State titles in 2011 & 2012. She was recruited to play at Colorado State University-Pueblo and graduated with a degree in Exercise Science. She was a Head Coach for a volleyball club in Colorado for 4 years, then was an Assistant College Coach at Davis & Elkins College in West Virginia for 3 years. Within her last few years in West Virginia, she did her master’s online in Coaching & Administration at Concordia University Irvine. Now, she works at Florida Tech as the Assistant Volleyball Coach. Pua is very excited for the opportunity to be working with Cape Coast and able to share her passion for the game.

Pete Klonowski

Pete Klonowski

Coach

Pete was a member of the University of Evansville Volleyball Club from 1983-1987. He competed in the OPEN level indoor and beach tournaments for over 10 years. Pete coached at Merritt Island High School from 1997-1998 and again from 2000-2002. He was an assistant head coach when the Lady Mustangs were the 2001 Class 4A State Finalist. He was the training coordinator and assistant coach at Brevard Community College (now Eastern Florida State College) from 2011-2012. He is currently the head coach at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy. Pete is in his 20th year coaching for Cape Coast Volleyball Club. He worked primarily as the head coach of either the  15's or 18's teams. He has 3 children, Hannah, Jack and Ava. 

Miguel Lorca

Coach

Miguel A Lorca was born in San Antonio, Chile. He played High School Volleyball at Liceo de Applicaciones and graduated in 1983. He played club volleyball at Universidad Catolica  in Santiago, Chile. He was in the US Army from 1996-2017 as a Staff Sergeant. He was a police officer with the NYPD from 1997 - 2017 and is now retired as of 2017. 
 

Jennifer Mahl

Coach

Jennifer was born and raised here in Melbourne.  She got her start playing volleyball at Central Junior High School (now Central Middle School) and continued to play at Melbourne High School.  She got her nursing degree from University of Miami and her Masters in Nursing from University of Central Florida.  She will be assisting Coach Tiffany Jenson with 10U Explorer this season.  Her youngest daughter played for CCVC last year and she enjoyed being back around the sport.  Her older daughter also joined CCVC this year. Jennifer is looking forward to her first year as an assistant coach!

Danelli Mejia

Coach

Danelli Mejia is from Ponce, Puerto Rico but moved to South Florida a few years ago. The sport of volleyball is something she has been surrounded by her whole life. She played for Pembroke Pines Charter High School as the starting outside leading them to 2 regional championships. She plays at Florida Tech, where she is also studying Ocean Engineering. She has a passion for coaching and enjoys helping and watching her players grow. 

 

Kelly Merz

Kelly currently plays volleyball at Florida Tech and is a Cape Coast alum! She graduated from Viera High School where she played on the volleyball team. She now coming back to Cape Coast to join our volleyball family again as a coach this time. Kelly will be assisting our 12 Echo team.

Chris Michnoff

Coach

Chris started playing volleyball at age 14 in rec leagues while living with his family in Virginia. After joining the military, Chris started playing for base teams, as well as off base in the local countries semi-pro leagues as an OH and back up setter. While stationed in Hawaii, he picked up coaching as an Assistant Coach for 6u-8u when his 3 daughters joined a local rec league. He then moved up the coaching ladder later coaching teams from 15u-17u. While stationed in England, he became an Assistant Coach for the base high school varsity team and eventually became the varsity head coach, finishing 3rd at the European High School Championships. Before moving to Florida, Chris was stationed in Ohio, where he coached 17s and was an Assistant Coach for 13s at Dayton Juniors Volleyball Club. 

Gabrielle Mommers

Gabrielle grew up in Brevard County and went to Eau Gallie high school where she played varsity soccer, lacrosse, and volleyball. Soccer was always her main sport and she won three regional titles with her club team. She earned her first Bachelor's Degree in Health Science from the University of Miami and her second Bachelor's Degree in environmental engineering at the University of Central Florida. She daylights as an engineer at Geosyntec Consultants, coaches the JV volleyball team at Holy Trinity, and is going into her third year coaching at Cape Coast. 

Eric  Murray

Eric is in his 12th year as coach for Cape Coast Volleyball Club.  He has coached several age group levels during all these years with the club including 12, 13, 14, 16 & 17. During the 2008 and 2009 seasons he was the head coach at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School in Indialantic. During the 2009 season he led the team to an undefeated season, becoming the 2009 champions. Eric coached the Cape Coast 12 NIKE team in 2010 which won the USAV FL Region Bid tournament and earned a berth in the Jr. National Volleyball tournament in Reno, NV in the summer of 2010. The team finished 19th in the nation.  Eric has also been coaching at Viera High School since 2011 where he has helped develop a very strong and successful HS volleyball program in Brevard County. He has been involved with the sport of volleyball for over 40 years.  He grew up in Puerto Rico where he played Varsity in High School winning several high school tournaments and becoming one of the top high school teams in PR. Eric is also helping Cape Coast Volleyball Club athletes in the area of sports conditioning. He is an experienced certified personal trainer with over 20 years of experience helping athletes and non-athletes of all ages and fitness levels to reach their goals safely and effective.

Lyndsey Netz

Coach

Lyndsey Netz is coaching the 11u Glory team this season. She began as a multi sport athlete playing soccer, volleyball and track. She played for Spanish River High School and Florida Gold Coast Volleyball Club from 1996-2000. She moved on to play at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) as the starting setter from 2000 to 2003 and became the NSU all-time career set assist leader. She graduated from NSU with a bachelors in Biology, a bachelors in Physician Assistant Studies and a Masters in Medical Science. 
While playing collegiate volleyball, Lyndsey coached for Weston Thunder Volleyball Club ages 14 through 18 Elite. She later moved to Omaha, Nebraska with her husband and began coaching for River City Juniors Volleyball Club ages 14 through 16. She had a coaching hiatus to focus on her career and family (husband and twins Zachary and Morgan). Her daughter, Morgan, began playing for Cape Coast Volleyball Club 2 years ago which reignited her passion for coaching volleyball. Her goal is to develop young athletes who fall in love with volleyball through grit, hard work, discipline and perseverance.

Ivana Notardonato

Ivana Notardonato

Ivana is from Razlog, Bulgaria. She has been coaching for Coaching in the U.S. since 2019,  internationally for 3 years. She has a  bachelors degree  from Marshall University. Ivana played volleyball2 years at the College of Southern Idaho while earning an associate degree in arts. This division 1 junior college in Twin Falls, Idaho,= finished as national runner-up in 2017, winning two conference championships and one regional title. Then she played 2 years at Marshall University earning Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll 2018-2020  and majoring in  international business She played in Razlog Bulgaria for 8 years for Junior Bulgarian National Team and Volleyball Club Pirin Razlog. Three times she was Best Spiker nationally in Bulgaria. Captain of the team  for 8 years. She won two regional titles with the high school team, and won five regional titles with  club team. She was selected to the museum for sports achievement in high school. Captain of the first volleyball high school team in school history for 4 years. Ivana returned and coached every summer in 2017,2018,2019 for 3 months at her home club team “Pirin Razlog” Head Coached 18', 16s and 15's teams. She finished 4th in the national tournament with 15's age group in Bulgaria. She coached for 2 years in River Cities Thunder in Huntington, WV-16’s,15’s.  She is currently working as an accounting specialist at the Integration Factory.  

Olivia Ordonez

Jen Panarese

Coach

Jen was originally born in San Antonio, Texas before her dad found a job over in Melbourne and has been here for the past 17 years. She went to Holy Trinity where her spark for volleyball started when her younger sister started in the sport. A year later, Jen played for Cape Coast, starting at the 13s team and traveled all the way up to finishing the 18s season in 2019. Though she didn't play in college, her love for the sport didn't stop there and proceeded to become a volleyball coach and certified referee who travels all over Florida; reffing tournaments from AAU Nationals to FL All Star Champions. She is a medical esthetitician and permanent makeup/tattoo artist outside of the volleyball element, as well as pursuing a Psychology degree from UCF. 

Olivia  Pavick

Olivia Pavick

Olivia grew up in Brevard County and played on our Cape Coast 16 & 17 Elite teams. She also played all four years while attending Astronaut High School. Olivia has earned her A.A degree and a B.A.S in Organizational Management, specializing in Travel and Tourism Management, through Eastern Florida State College. She began her volleyball coaching career in 2018 and joined the Cape Coast family in 2021. This year, she embarks on her third season at Cape Coast as the Head Coach of 13 Discovery and Assistant Coach of 17 Pegasus. Olivia hopes to instill the love of volleyball in each of her players, along with the life skills of hard work, determination, and teamwork.

Krysta Pazos

Krysta Pazos grew up in Brevard County living in Merritt Island She went to Merritt Island High School where she played indoor and beach volleyball. Krysta played volleyball for Cape Coast throughout high school as a Setter and also played for Cape Coast's beach program. She graduated from EFSC with her AA in the Spring and is continuing with her Bachelor Program at EFSC this Fall. Krysta is excited to be back at Cape Coast, now as a coach, to share her love for the game of volleyball with others.  

Diego Perez

Diego has been coaching for Cape Coast Volleyball Club for 9 years. He has coached anywhere from 13's to 18's for Cape Coast. He was the Head Volleyball Coach at Astronaut High School for 5 years. Diego was an assistant volleyball coach at Eastern Florida State College for the 2019 season. He has coached for the Team Florida HP program for 3 years where he won a gold medal in the Girls Select division in 2017 and placed in the top 10 with the Boys Regional Select team in 2019. Along with coaching indoor, he has been a part of the Cape Coast Beach program since 2010.

Ashley Rants

Coach

Ashley is from Parker, Colorado where she played for Momentum Volleyball Club (2013-2018) and Front Range Volleyball Club (2018-2021). She graduated in 2021, from Chaparral High School where her team won the state championship in 2019 and  went on to play Division 1 at the University of Louisiana Monroe, she then transferred to play at Florida Institute of Technology where she is studying Business Administration. She played volleyball nearly her entire life and is  an outside/right side hitter. Her parents both attended University of Colorado Colorado Springs, where her mom played basketball her freshman year and my dad played basketball his first two years and soccer his second two. She has an older sister who currently attends Northern Arizona University. Her goal as a coach is to help these ladies not only grow on the court but also grow into confident young women.
 

Francisco Rivera

Born and raised in Puerto Rico where he played volleyball, from 2nd grade all the way till college where he was a setter for 4 years for Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. Coming from a sports family, he learned every sport and grew up very passionate.  Francisco coached at Club Torrimar 18 in Puerto Rico before joining the ARMY where he has been for 16 years. He traveled all over the world and finished his BA in Accounting and MBA in Finance. He is married to Neysa with two children Luis and Victoria which plays her second season in Cape Coast. Excited to provide his knowledge while also showing the power of discipline and leadership in the sport that he loves.

 

Natalie Rivera

Coach

Natalie Molina Rivera was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where she started to play volleyball in 5th grade. She was able to play setter in Colegio Bautista de Carolina to then progress to the volleyball league, where her team was the first to travel to the USA to play at AAU tournaments from Puerto Rico.
She moved to Brevard County at the age of 12, where she kept  playing volleyball for her  school and Cape Coast Volleyball Club  where she met Connie,  who helped her  love the sport. She started to help her young sister learn to play volleyball and her team and when she was there at their practices and remembered why she loves the sport. She joined Cape Coast in 2023 to coach volleyball to have another player fall in love with the sport. She has a 6-year-old daughter that she will guide and teach the sport. She is currently going back to school to finish her degree.

Kylie Taffer

Kylie Taffer is a Brevard County native. She attended Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School while playing on the varsity team for 4 years. She played volleyball at Salem College, winning "Athlete of the Year" as a senior. She started coaching while still in college, at a local club in North Carolina. After graduating, she moved back to Brevard County and started coaching at various high schools, first at Satellite High, then Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, and currently, at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High. She is the 14 Atlantis coach at Cape Coast and helps out with other programs, like the STARS program. With 7 years of coaching experience, she is fully prepared to help players reach and strive towards their full potential. While not on the volleyball court, she is a librarian at the Kennedy Space Center.

Lindsay Tipton was born in raised in Brevard County, graduating from Titusville High School in 2004.  She earned a scholarship to Florida Tech (FIT) in Melbourne after just playing volleyball for two seasons with Cape Coast.  Lindsay led her college  team in blocks both in her junior and senior years as a middle blocker/opposite  with accolades in other statistical categories.  She was a 4-year scholar athlete while earning a degree in Forensic Psychology.  Her coaching career began where she started playing with Cape Coast in Fall 2006.  She has coached club now for 16 years  in the 14U through 18U divisions. Lindsay teaches high school and AP courses and resides in North Brevard with her  3 kids, Charli, Hank, and Andee, and her husband Chaz.

Miya Washington

Miya grew up playing volleyball in Northern Virginia and went on to play in college at Christopher Newport University. After graduation she moved to Melbourne, Florida, where she coached a high school team. Miya joined our club for the 2023 season and will be coaching 14 Enterprise this year.
